2018 was, by far, our most successful year to date. Some highlights from our year include: flying out Chicago-based actor and director, Eric Damon Smith, to direct “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime”; collaborating with Brüka Theatre to produce the cult classic hit, “Hedwig and the Angry Inch”; featuring the US Premiere of the piece, “Play About a Dick”; reaching record ticket sales with the smash musical, “Young Frankenstein” which hosted our largest cast to date including 18 actors, 10 musicians, and a crew of 6; successfully piloting our “Theatrical Arts for the Exceptional Student” program integrating theatre, with reading, for individuals with exceptionalities; unveiling our New Works Initiative Program where we saw 36 new play submissions from all over the world, striving to grow Reno as a renowned city for producing original works. We saw our attendance rates skyrocket from 65% to an exceptional 92%, bringing new audiences into our space. We expanded our community partnerships, working with the Spoken Views Youth Collective, Arts for All Nevada, Our Center, and more. We opened “Bottoms Up!” our own bar, featuring beer and canned cocktails from breweries and distilleries made locally here in Reno, Nevada.
In 2019, our intention as a company is to continue to provide compelling, innovative works of art, creatively and financially support local artists to promote retention and growth, and give our audiences a comfortable, welcoming, and engaging experience at the theater. We want everyone, from cast, crew, volunteer, and patron to feel like a member of our family. We couldn't do this without you. Thank you, truly, for all of the support and the encouragement over the years. A donation to our Big Give fund would be monumental in helping us achieve our goals and ensure that we are around for another ten years.
We owe everything to our devoted patrons. They lend their talents to our stage, volunteer to run our box office, purchase tickets for friends, swing hammers to build our sets, and give generously to support our theatre. We would not be here without the collective help of you! Thank you for your support, your presence, and for being part of our story.

Buy an actor a beer.
If you enjoyed the performance of an actor and you would like to send them an accolade for their work, you can buy them a drink. Donate $3 for a shot of whiskey or $5 for a pint, and let us know who you would like to receive your gift. Their next drink will be on you!
