The Crucigirls

We're holding an open call for this year's parody: "Crucigirls," directed by Ryan Hartley. 

Location: Good Luck Macbeth (124 W. Taylor St.)

Date: Saturday, 4/18 
Times: 12:30pm-3:30pm (Sign up for a 5 minutes slot) 
and 
Date: Monday, 4/20
Times: 7pm-7:30pm

Please prepare two contrasting monologues (one comedic & one dramatic) for a total of 1min & 30 seconds. Your best one-minute monologue is also acceptable. 

Callbacks may be held on Monday, 4/20 at 7:30pm. 
Rehearsals to begin the week of 5/4.

Performance dates: June 19, 20, 25, 26, 27, July 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 11 @ 7:30pm and June 28 @ 2pm. Possible extension: July 16, 17 & 18 @ 7:30pm. 


Character List:

- Catherine: Female presenting; the new girl in town (think Cady Heron)
- Erika Good: Female presenting; the "evil queen bee” (think Regina George)
- Sarah: Female presenting; an art enthusiast, edgy, Rebecca’s best friend
- Rebecca: Butch female presenting; Sarah’s best friend
- Mercy: Female presenting; Erika's worker bee
- Mary: Female presenting; Erika's worker bee.
- John Proctor: Male presenting, arrogant, town hero, Erika’s ex
- Miss Tituba: Female presenting; person of color, progressive but careful. Salem’s school teacher

Ensemble Characters (multiple roles will be played by same person and may include crew members):

ACTOR 1:
Reverend Hale: male presenting, naive
Judge: male-presenting, dramatic, harsh
Catherine’s Dad: male-presenting. Just your normal average Joe dad

ACTOR 2:
Betty: female-presenting, Erika’s little sister
Townsperson 1
Girl 1

ACTOR 3:
Catherine’s Mom: Just your normal average Jane mom
Townsperson 2
Girl 2

ACTOR 4:
Erika’s Mom: She’s a “cool, holier than thou mom!”
Townsperson 3
Girl 3

Production Details:
- Cast Size: 12

- Content Warning/Themes: The production includes strong language and political/comedic references to religion, menstruation, witchcraft, and the patriarchy.
